What’s your role at Psychi?
I’m the Social Media Manager. I’ve been in post for just under two weeks so I’m feeling pretty fresh but I’m really excited to see where the role takes me. It’s my job to create content for and develop Psychi’s social media platforms and I’m especially excited to explore interesting content options for our YouTube channel. Keep your eyes peeled for some new climbing content over there very soon!
When you’re not at Psychi HQ, how do you spend your spare time?
When I’m not at work, you’ll probably find me at my local climbing wall in Leeds or rambling in the Peak District. I’m also really passionate about film and photography. I upload my climbing progression and outdoors vlogs to my YouTube channel and I really enjoy the process of putting those videos together and learning new creative processes.
What’s your favourite part of working at Psychi?
I’ve only been in post since August 2020, so I'd have to say my favourite part has been starting! The Pyschi team was super welcoming (and introduced me to all the best local lunch spots!). They’ve eased any new job jitters I had and I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in.
Favourite piece of Psychi gear & why?
I haven’t taken off my Psychi crew since I started and I’m a big fan of the chalk bags. I’m a hopeless over-chalker so it’s critical that I get on with my chalk bag!
What DO most people NOT know about you?
Until the age of about 14, I wanted to become a professional football player. I was my school team captain and absolutely loved training and playing in local leagues. Then I started climbing and I had to choose between the two! I chose climbing - obviously!
What’s on your bucket list?
I’d love to do a huge road trip around the Pacific North West and I’m always trying to become a better all-round climber. The big dream is to convert a van to travel around Europe, though!
