Product Info.

What size chalk bag do I need?

Our standard chalk bags fit around your waist and are designed for rope climbing so you can chalk up enroute. Bouldering chalk buckets are larger and used for bouldering where you do not generally need to take a chalk bag on the wall with you.

Are Psychi products made with sustainable materials?

Many of our products use RPET fabrics (from recycled plastic bottles) and natural ingredients like local Peak District beeswax in our skin-care range. We aim to up-cycle or use recyclable materials where possible. All details will be available on the product pages.

Climbing Chalk.

Is Psychi climbing chalk vegan?

Yep our chalk is 100% vegan and contains no animal products.

What makes Psychi climbing chalk different?

Our Psych Powder and Sustainable Liquid Chalk is made from magnesium carbonate left over from seawater desalination, unlike most chalk which comes from mined magnesite. It delivers pure high-performance grip with a lower environmental impact. Find out more. Our chalk balls and blocks are currently made using conventional chalk, but we're working to get this changed, it's our aim to use only sustainable chalk for all our products.

What type of climbing is Psychi chalk best for?

Our chalk works across bouldering, sport climbing, trad climbing, and gym training/ weightlifting. Choose loose chalk for buckets, chalk balls for mess-free use in chalk bags, or liquid chalk for hotter days.

Is all your of chalk sustainable?

Not just yet. Our chalk balls and blocks are currently made from conventional magnesium carbonate. This is because they take a little extra effort to produce them. But we are working on this and our hope is to have 100% of our chalk sustainable by 2026.

Payments & Security.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, and Google Pay.

Are my payment details secure?

Yes. Our site uses SSL encryption and complies with secure payment standards.

Psychi & Community.

Where is Psychi climbing gear made?

We design and develop our gear in the UK, working with trusted partners overseas. Sustainability is central and we use recycled fabrics like RPET to make our kit and eco-conscious processes wherever possible.

How do we support the climbing community?

We’re contributing to a thriving climbing community by running free Peak District bouldering sessions, sponsoring athletes on the British Team and Para Climbing Team, providing prizes for climbing events, and working closely with gyms and climbing organisations to keep things fun, fair and safe.

What are you doing to address the environmental issues the world is facing?

We plant a tree every time you place an order, and we offset much of the impact from us and all our athletes using Ecologi. This funds climate-positive initiatives all over the world operating sustainably if at the forefront of what we do.

Do you offer wholesale or bulk discounts for climbing gyms?

Yes, please email either rik@psychi.co.uk or ben@psychi.co.uk for more info.
