Seawater derived magnesium carbonate.

Sustainability:

Made using by-products of seawater desalination and CO2, Psych Powder climbing chalk not only reuses waste products but also avoids the need for ecologically damaging chalk mining.

Texture options:

Available in chunky and super-fine options. Chunky chalk gives climbers crushable lumps, while super-fine chalk offers a smooth, silky texture.

Grip performance:

Designed with a fine particle size to help the chalk work into the creases of your hands, absorbing moisture and improving friction in areas others won’t.

Formula:

Pure magnesium carbonate with no additives or bulking agents.

Packaging:

Supplied in a resealable biodegradable zip-lock bag, and delivered in a compostable paper package.

Sustainable Climbing Chalk

Psych Powder is our high-purity magnesium carbonate climbing chalk, made for indoor and outdoor climbing, bouldering and sweaty training sessions.

It is made by combining magnesium from seawater and CO2, giving you a super pure reliable grip without relying on ecologically damaging mining.

First chalk purchase, ever!

I've got very little to compare this chalk with as I've only used a chalk ball.
However, I notice it stays on my hands longer and feels good.
Glad it's a UK product and responsibly souced.
The zip lock bag is a bit weak and I did rip it when opening it, which gives me a bit of low level anxiety as I expect it needs to be kept dry.
Overall, I am pleased with the chalk and I probably will buy again when I run out.

Great chalk

Great chalk, love that it's sustainable and still as good as any other product I've used. Tend to prefer the super fine as opposed to the chunky for climbing. But some of the chunky pieces are great for tick marks.

Best chalk I've used. Super easy to get a good distribution on my hand and keeps my skin dry but grippy. Takes me from useless to passable on slopers.

Long lasting

Only have experience with one other chalk but this is noticeabley longer lasting. Fingers stayed drier than usual. I'll buy again.

Works well

I've only used a couple of times. I was using three sisters chalk for years, which is mined in France: it feels like silk on the hands. I decided to give this a go because it's not mined. It's certainly stickier, and the fact it seems to be a sustainable process is only positive.
